Last week, in an earlier report, a data showed off that home prices moved up 1.1 % during December 2009 in California. Golden State’s housing market displayed a slow but steady trend of improvement continually as far as home price is concerned.

Based from MDA DataQuick of San Diego, it was in December of 2009 that the median price of $264,000 climbed up from November’s median price of $261,000, and increased 6% when compared to December 2008 median price of $249,000.

DataQuick told that the year-over-year increase was second in a row following a decline of about 27 months. Its median was on high record at $484,000 in early 2007 and was down last April which hit the low of $221,000 in the market.

Around 41,837 estimated numbers of homes were sold last December 2009. In comparison, December’s data showed off 16.7% increase from November and a 10.6% increase from December 2008 respectively.

December resale homes with a rate of 41% were foreclosed properties a year ago. Indeed, DataQuick told that when compared it to other records of time, a revised of 40.1% increase from November’s record, drifted down from 55.2% in December of 2008 and was down from a peak of 58.8% last February were among the updated information in terms of home sales in the history of California’s real estate.

Talking about mortgage plans, eventually this year’s mortgage payments showed a little decrease in terms of rates for the given terms of payments.

Moreover, in terms of mortgage payments, home buyer’s record appeared to be up in December. It went up from November’s data of $1,106 and December 2008 data of $1,110 to $1,125 last December 2009. According to DataQuick’s analysis, considering inflation adjustments, mortgage payments of December was 47.3% lower the spring 1989 peak of the prior real estate cycle and in the peak of June 2006 cycle went down to 57.3%.

Many economists and experts say that trends by 2010 will be getting better and real estate will start to bloom as there are recent factors that may affect its growth and development.
