Fallbrook is a known for its avocado groves and claims the title of being the “Avocado Capital of the World”. It is located in the northern part of the San Diego County. The downtown Fallbrook is not on any highway route, downtown area is six miles west of Interstate 15 or five miles north of California State Route 76 and going to the east is the U.S. Marine Corps’ Camp Pendleton. Fallbrook community area is approximately 44 square miles that composed of 45.5 km² of land and 0.1 km² of that is water. Based on the 2000 census the area have had a total population of 29,100.
The first recorded settlers in Fallbrook was the Reche Family in 1869 and named the new community after their homestead in Pennsylvania as Fall Brook. The present town was plotted in 1885 and original structure since that are still existing and serving the community like with the Fallbrook School that was closed in 1939 and converted into a club house. The town first church that was built in 1890 and is still fully function until now.
