Lincoln is one of the cities in Placer, located in the northwest region of the Placer County, state of California. The city of Lincoln has a total of 42,126 residents, 3,784 total households and 3,033 families are residing in the city. Population were made up of different races with 79.64% Caucasion, 0.44 2.75% African-American, 0.17% Native American, 1.44% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.20% of the population.
The community was named after Charles Wilson Lincoln, director of California Central Railroad and was the instrument in linking the cities of Maryville and Sacramento via a connection to the Sacramento Valley Railroad in Folsom. The city of Lincoln have started its growth in the mid 90s when the suburbs Sacramento started expanding out past nearby Roseville. It continues to growth in huge percentage since 2000 until 2007, recorded a 236.8 percent growth that puts the Lincoln in the U.S. map as the fastest growing suburbs.
