California Home Sales increased by 16.7%

California Real Estate is on the go, home sales during the month of December was on the high increasing by 16.7 percent from 35860 total home sold way back the month of November compared to last month home sales where in an estimated 41,837 new and resale houses, condos and other properties were reported sold. Median home sold price was also up by 1.1 percent, the month of Novemeber median home sold price was $261,000 while last month it was posted at $264,000. This was the second consecutive year over year increase, median price was also down last April at $221,000 following the its peaked in the early 2007 at $484,000.

The majority of the home sold properties last month were properties that were foreclosed on and during last year that was 41 percent. It was up by 0.9 percent over the month of November and down by 55.2 percent during December a year ago. Overall California Real Estate is running smoothly, down payments are stable, financing mortgage is low and a declined in foreclosure.
